Budget Skip Bin Hire
Budget skip bins are our most affordable option — perfect when your load is a single clean material such as concrete, brick, dirt/soil or green waste. Because these materials are clean and recyclable, a budget bin costs less than a general-waste bin of the same size. Available in all sizes across Redcliffe and Moreton Bay.

What Can Go in a Budget Bin
1. Choose one material
Pick a single material type — concrete, brick, dirt/soil or green waste. Budget pricing applies because a clean, single-material load can be recycled rather than sent to landfill.
2. Keep it clean and unmixed
Keep general rubbish, timber, plasterboard, plastics and household waste out. A budget bin contaminated with mixed waste is re-charged at general-waste rates.
3. Watch the weight limit
Heavy materials like concrete and soil reach the weight limit quickly. Check the load limit for your bin size — for 6m³ budget loads we may deliver 2 × 3m³ bins due to weight.
Types of skip bins accepted waste types
Budget waste bin
A budget bin must contain only a single type of material.
Accepted materials include:
Concrete, bricks, soil, green waste, rocks, stones, grass, shrubs, small branches, leaves, palm fronds, wood chips, small tree trunks.
Each bin may contain only one of these material types; mixed loads are classified as general waste.

Accepted materials include: household waste (scraps, appliances, furniture, general rubbish), garden/green waste, cardboard, construction waste & all Budget Bin materials

Asbestos Bin
Asbestos bins are specifically designed for the safe, licensed disposal of asbestos and any materials contaminated by it. The customer prepares the load correctly and we handle the compliant disposal. Learn more about our asbestos skip bin hire.
If fibro or asbestos is found in a general or budget bin without prior disclosure, disposal will be halted immediately. This may lead to legal consequences and additional charges. Always notify us before booking if asbestos is present. For safe handling and disposal guidance, see the national asbestos safety guidelines.
Prohibited Waste
The following items must not be placed in any bin supplied by Redcliffe Skips. If they are found, additional charges or penalties may apply, including reloading fees or per-tonne fines:
- Reportable or regulated waste (eg. asbestos, silica dust, contaminated soil)
- Dangerous goods such as gas cylinders, fire extinguishers, lithium-ion batteries, chemicals
- Liquids of any kind (paints, oils, fuels, water/slop/slurry)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I mix materials in a budget skip bin?
No. A budget bin must contain only one material type — concrete, brick, dirt/soil or green waste. Mixed loads are classified as general waste and charged at the higher general rate.
What can I put in a budget skip bin?
Clean, single-type heavy or green material: concrete, bricks, rocks and stones, soil and dirt, or green waste such as branches, hedge trimmings, grass, leaves and palm fronds. No general rubbish, timber, plasterboard, plastics or household waste.
Why is a budget bin cheaper than a general waste bin?
Budget materials are clean and recyclable, so they go to lower-cost recycling and disposal streams. That saving is passed on to you, so a budget bin is cheaper than the same-size general-waste bin.
What sizes and prices are available?
Budget bins range from 2m³ up to 10m³. Prices depend on size and delivery zone — see the price table above. For 6m³ budget loads we may deliver 2 × 3m³ bins because heavy materials reach the weight limit quickly.
What happens if I put the wrong waste in a budget bin?
If a budget bin is contaminated with mixed or prohibited waste, it is re-charged at general-waste rates. Keeping to a single clean material keeps your price low.
