How to prepare your asbestos bin
1. Double-line the bin
Line the bin with a double layer of 200µm (200um) builder’s plastic. It’s inexpensive and available at Bunnings.
2. Wrap & seal
Wrap the asbestos, place it inside the lined bin, then fold the plastic over the top and seal it completely with tape so nothing is exposed.
3. Stay within the limit
Don’t overfill — keep within your bin’s load limit. Incorrectly prepared or overloaded asbestos bins can’t be collected.
