You can put any waste in the skip bin, except waste prohibited by law. Prohibited items include asbestos (unless in a specific asbestos bin), tyres, batteries, liquids, chemicals, gas bottles or other prescribed or listed waste.
Different rates apply for our budget bin (concrete, brick, dirt and green waste), general rubbish bin or asbestos bin (check our rates here). It’s better for the environment to separate your waste, which is one of the reasons why you must only fill your bin with the prescribed waste.
As a general rule, houses pre 1980 are likely to contain some asbestos in the fibro cement sheeting found in the bathroom and eaves of the houses. We supply asbestos bins to our customers, however it’s the customer’s responsibility to double line the skip bin with 200um plastic before filling, then wrap and tape the plastic closed, before the driver collects the bin. We do not remove asbestos from buildings – we only hire skip bins and collect the waste.
No, you cannot mix asbestos with general waste. We offer bins that are for asbestos only, as asbestos must be stored and disposed of separate from any other waste.

For Workplace Health & Safety reasons, we are unable to carry unsafe loads, which means that your skip bins should not be filled any higher than the top rim. Your bin must also be safely stacked, so it can be tied down or tarped; if the bin is overfilled, extra charges may apply.
Where possible, the driver will try to remove and transport the skip, however it may be necessary for the driver to remove the overloaded items, which will be left in a neat pile near the site of the bin. Extra charges may apply for this service.
Same day delivery is often available, however it’s best to give us 48 hours’ notice, so that you can be assured that the right size skip bin is available.
We prefer prepayment of skip bins, which is generally processed over the phone. We accept Eftpos (Visa/Mastercard), Cash on Delivery, Cheque or Direct Deposit. Please contact the office and ask for our account details, if you would like to pay by Direct Debit.

Loading skip bins with a wheelbarrow is made much easier when you have a door in the bin! Bin sizes 3m3, 6m3 and 10m3 have doors.
Low sided skip bins make it easier to lift heavy waste, especially when you are manually lifting the waste into the skip.
Bin hire is for 7-days, however if you want the skip collected before the 7 days is up, simply contact our office and we will come and collect it. On the other hand, if you have not finished with the bin within the 7-day hire period, please contact us ASAP to arrange for extended hire, which will incur additional costs.
We do not normally operate on weekends, however we may deliver and collect your skip bins on weekends, if you have made specific arrangements for this service with our office.
No, there doesn’t need to be anyone on-site when we deliver your skip bin. We will ask your instructions at the time of the order and on the day, place the bin in an appropriate spot for your ease of access.
